Baghdad Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, son of the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, presented today, Sunday, his candidacy papers for the presidential elections scheduled to be held in the country next December.

Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, according to Reuters, submitted his candidacy papers for the elections at the branch of the High Electoral Commission in the city of Sebha, southwest of Libya.

The High Electoral Commission in Libya announced the seventh of this month, opening the door for registration of candidates in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

Candidacy for the presidential elections will continue to be accepted until the 22nd of this month, while applications for candidacy for the parliamentary elections will continue to be accepted until the 7th of next month.
