Samarra: The city of Samarra is crowded with visitors commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, on Friday, large crowds of mourners gathered to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hassan al-Askari. The commemoration fell on the eighth of Rabi’ al-Awwal, and visitors participated in rituals at his holy shrine in Samarra. The event featured mourning processions and Husseini service groups, supported by local security and service measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the pilgrims.
