Baghdad: A defense agreement was signed between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry announced on Friday the signing of a joint defense agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated in a press release that "Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed a joint defense agreement in Jeddah to enhance cooperation amid escalating tensions in the Middle East."

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry statement indicated that "the defense agreement aims to promote peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond." It clarified that "the agreement stipulates that any armed attack against any of the three countries is considered an attack against all three."
