Riyadh: Saudi Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi has reiterated Iraq’s commitment to bolstering relations and fostering joint cooperation with its regional neighbors, particularly Saudi Arabia.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister emphasized this commitment during his participation in an official ministerial delegation visit to Saudi Arabia. The delegation met with Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Abdullah al-Jadaan. Discussions centered on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for collaboration in the areas of gas, energy, and electricity. The meeting was also attended by the Iraqi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Safia al-Suhail.

The Iraqi delegation included several high-ranking officials, such as the Minister of Finance, Faleh al-Sari, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Extraction Affairs, Naseer Aziz, and the Director General of the Oil Marketing Company, along with other government and ministry representatives. The focus of the visit was to strengthen ties, coordinate at the highest levels, and explore new avenues for joint cooperation, ultimately serving the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.
