Baghdad: The leader of the Sadrist movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, called on Wednesday for the revival of the Prophetic ritual on the anniversary of the death of the Great Prophet (PBUH). Sayyid Al-Sadr said in a post on the (X) platform, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Praise be to God who made Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) a destination for the believers, and praise be to God who made Karbala a destination for the pilgrims, and praise be to God who made Iraq a destination for the pilgrim, and praise be to Allah who made the generous Iraqis hospitable to the pilgrims of the destination of reform, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and praise be to God who honored Iraq and the Iraqis with the service of the pilgrim of Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) coming from outside Iraq to pilgrimage Arbaeen."

According to Iraqi News Agency, he added, "May Allah accept the efforts of the pilgrims, those serving the pilgrims, those who uphold God's rituals, and the security forces for ensuring the safety and security of the holy city of Karbala." He noted that, "By the grace of Allah and the blessings of the Ahl al-Bayt, the Arbaeen pilgrimage was successfully completed, becoming a thorn in the side of occupiers, normalization advocates, and terrorists. Everyone should therefore revive the Prophetic tradition on the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's death by visiting the shrine of his successor, Ali, Commander of the Faithful, in the holy city of Najaf, the capital of the Twelver Shiite school of thought."

Al-Sadr urged people not to neglect the visit, saying that failing to do so "would be a disgrace and a source of shame for us as followers of the Prophet and devotees of the husband of al-Batul." He stressed the need to display black banners, hold mourning ceremonies, and march to the shrine "to anger the enemies of Allah, Islam, and the (Shiite) school of thought, as well as the accursed tree mentioned in the Quran, which once insulted him from the pulpits. Today, however, his name is exalted while the memory of those who hated him has faded, Praise be to Allah."

He continued, "Rise in support of your Prophet and your Imam. If you do not support him, Allah has already supported him. Let our support be without fear, hesitation, or grief, but with humility, tranquility, and certainty."
