Baghdad: Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense, Shawan Mazhar Ali Rawandozi, discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in defense and military fields with the South Korean Defense Minister.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense stated that Rawandozi received the South Korean Minister of National Defense, In Gyu-bak, and his accompanying delegation at Baghdad International Airport.

The statement highlighted that the guest Minister and his delegation were warmly welcomed. The visit is intended for official discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in defense and military domains, as well as exchanging expertise and technologies to benefit both nations.

The statement noted that this visit is part of efforts to develop mutual relations between Iraq and South Korea. The two countries are experiencing significant progress towards establishing a strategic partnership in security and technical fields, which is expected to bolster the capabilities of the Iraqi army.
