Karbala: The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army for Operations, Lieutenant General Jamil Kamil Al-Shammari, has arrived in the holy Karbala Governorate to discuss security preparations for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. This visit underscores the importance of ensuring safety and security during one of the most significant religious events in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lieutenant General Jamil Kamil Al-Shammari was accompanied by the Commander of the Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Qasim Mohammed Saleh Al-Muhammadi, upon his arrival at the Karbala Operations Command. Their visit is part of the ongoing efforts to coordinate and enhance security measures ahead of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, which attracts millions of pilgrims annually. The delegation’s discussions are expected to focus on strategies to manage the large influx of visitors and maintain order during the event.
