Baghdad: The Security Media Cell confirmed that there will be no curfew during the funeral procession for the late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Iraq.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Security Media Cell, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, stated: "There is no curfew whatsoever during the funeral procession for the martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iraq." Maan indicated that arrangements are being made regarding the streets and roads that the body will travel during the procession, whether in the holy cities of Karbala or Najaf, according to the routes, locations, and times determined by the committee responsible for organizing the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He confirmed that a comprehensive security plan has been put in place, with the participation of various ministries, institutions, and security and service agencies, to ensure the necessary services for those participating in the funeral procession. Maan called on citizens, religious bodies, Husseini processions, and participating delegations to fully comply with the organizational and security instructions and guidelines that will be issued successively by the relevant authorities, and to cooperate with security forces and service personnel to ensure the success of this event.
