Trebil: The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of sums of local and foreign currency intended for smuggling at the Trebil border crossing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, detachments from the Trebil Border Crossing Directorate, in cooperation with other relevant departments, apprehended two Iraqi drivers in possession of sums of local and foreign currency. This act was in violation of the Central Bank of Iraq’s regulations. The currency was found hidden in a professional manner, apparently for the purpose of smuggling it out of the country.
