Baghdad: Head of the Services Alliance Shibl Al-Zeidi and Second Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives Farhad Amin Atroshi stressed the importance of strengthening the role of the legislative institution in the next phase.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Services Alliance stated that Shibl Al-Zeidi engaged in discussions with Farhad Amin Atroshi regarding the latest political developments and the critical need to enhance the legislative institution’s role moving forward.

The meeting focused on strategies to activate the Council of Representatives’ role, emphasizing the need to sustain legislative and oversight functions to boost the legislative institution’s performance. This approach supports efforts aimed at addressing national issues and priorities that necessitate effective legislative and oversight action.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of ensuring the regular functioning of the Council of Representatives, including the continuation of its sessions and the exercise of
its constitutional duties. Additionally, the need for enhanced coordination and cooperation among various political forces and blocs was stressed, as it contributes to political stability and improved parliamentary performance.
