Baghdad: Head of the Services Alliance Shibl Al-Zeidi and Second Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives Farhad Amin Atroshi stressed the importance of strengthening the role of the legislative institution in the next phase.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Services Alliance stated that Shibl Al-Zeidi discussed with Farhad Amin Atroshi the latest political developments and the importance of fortifying the legislative institution’s role in the upcoming period. The meeting focused on ways to activate the Council of Representatives and sustain legislative and oversight work to enhance institutional performance and support efforts on national issues requiring effective legislative measures.

The statement elaborated that both parties emphasized ensuring the regular functioning of the Council of Representatives, its consistent session holdings, and fulfillment of constitutional duties. They also focused on enhancing coordination among political forces to contribute to political stability and improve parliamentary performance.
