Baghdad: The Services Alliance, led by Shibl al-Zaidi, affirmed its commitment to proceeding with consensus on the outcome of the Prime Minister selection process, in a manner that serves the national interest and strengthens political stability.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a press statement issued today, the alliance commended the formation of the coordination framework for the largest bloc in the Council of Representatives, expressing its appreciation for the organized procedures within this framework, particularly the formation of specialized committees to receive the CVs of candidates for the premiership.
The Alliance added that "the position of Prime Minister is the highest administrative position in the government and must focus on providing services to citizens and addressing sovereign issues and upcoming challenges, including economic aspects, financial liquidity, the water and energy sectors, and the country's security and regional affairs."
