Najaf: Border forces arrested seven Arab nationals for illegal hunting in the Najaf desert. The Border Command stated in a press release: “Detachments from the Fifth Border Police Directorate, under the Border Forces Command, arrested seven hunters of Arab nationality and one Iraqi national in the Najaf desert. They were arrested for violating the regulations governing the entry of foreign hunters into the country and hunting within Iraqi territory. The necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators in accordance with applicable regulations.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added: “The Ministry of Interior affirms its continued commitment to applying and enforcing the law on everyone without exception, and will not allow any violations of the regulations and instructions issued by the competent authorities.”
