Diwaniyah: The sewage project in Al-Siniya district, located north of Diwaniyah, has come to a standstill due to a lack of necessary funding. The halt in the project has raised concerns about the completion of the essential infrastructure work in the district.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the mayor of Al-Siniya district, Muhammad Kifah Al-Naili, announced that the project had been suspended for some time. The suspension is attributed to the absence of required funds from the ministry, which are crucial for the project’s continuation.

Al-Naili communicated via an official letter that the mayor’s office is actively engaging with relevant authorities to address the funding issue. Efforts have been made to officially contact the governor of Diwaniyah, urging the release of necessary funds to resume the project’s work.
