BEIRUT: On Tuesday, Lebanon witnessed a significant rise in the prices of various fuel types, impacting consumers across the country. The cost of 95 and 98 octane gasoline saw an increase of LBP 11,000, while diesel prices rose by LBP 7,000, and gas cylinders by LBP 42,000.

According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the new prices for fuels are now set at LBP 1,460,000 for 95 octane gasoline, LBP 1,500,000 for 98 octane gasoline, LBP 1,342,000 for diesel, and LBP 986,000 for gas cylinders. This escalation in fuel prices is part of a continuing economic challenge in the nation, which has been grappling with financial instability and inflation.

The increase in fuel costs is expected to have widespread effects on both transportation and the cost of living, as fuel prices play a critical role in the pricing of goods and services across Lebanon. The adjustment in fuel prices is likely to strain the budgets of many Lebanese families already dealing with economic hardships.
