Baghdad: Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, emphasized the importance of election participation as a means to preserve Iraq’s political process. Sheikh al-Khazali made these remarks during a speech at the conference launching the Sadiqun Movement’s electoral list in Baghdad. He highlighted that the voice of moderation and tolerance has prevailed over extremism and fanaticism.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh al-Khazali articulated that advancing toward a future worthy of all Iraqis requires participation in the elections. He underscored that the preservation of the Iraqi state and the political process hinges on electoral involvement, which would lead to a fully empowered government capable of delivering for its people.
Sheikh al-Khazali further stated that Iraq merits the participation of its citizens in its reconstruction, and the sacrifices made by Iraqis necessitate active engagement in the electoral process.
