Sheikh al-Khazali Commends Salah al-Din Tribes for Their Role in Enhancing Security


Baghdad: The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, held a meeting with the Emir of the Khazraj tribe, Sheikh Qais Jassim Muhammad al-Khazraji, to deliberate on the current security and service conditions in the Salah al-Din Governorate. The dialogue also focused on the significant contributions of tribal groups in fostering stability and fortifying social cohesion within the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Secretary-General’s office indicated that Sheikh al-Khazali hosted Sheikh al-Khazraji on Tuesday. During their meeting, al-Khazali lauded the efforts of the Salah al-Din tribes, recognizing their role in establishing security and stability across the governorate. He acknowledged their support for governmental and state institutions across multiple sectors.



Sheikh al-Khazali highlighted the critical importance of the tribal sheikh’s role, especially under the prevailing circumstances that demand the presence of influential social figures. These figures are crucial for taking responsibility, maintaining social unity, and contributing to the regulation of affairs and enhancement of stability within cities and tribal communities.



He further remarked on the challenges posed by hostile entities attempting to diminish national symbols and disrupt national identity. Al-Khazali stressed the necessity of preserving national symbols and figures while promoting awareness of a cohesive national identity.



In response, Sheikh Qais al-Khazraji, the Emir of the Khazraj tribe, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Sheikh al-Khazali’s role and his active efforts in unifying ranks and strengthening cohesion among the people of Salah al-Din Governorate.



Sheikh al-Khazraji reiterated that the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement and its representatives in Salah al-Din Governorate, particularly in the Balad District, are working diligently to serve the city and its inhabitants. Their efforts aim to treat everyone equally, without discrimination, thereby reinforcing the unity and cohesion of society.
