Baghdad:The Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sheikh Humam Hammoudi, has stated that Iraq is committed to implementing its full sovereignty project while fostering balanced relations with all parties involved.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hammoudi recently met with the US Charg© d’Affaires in Iraq, Steven Fagin, to discuss the current state of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington.

During their meeting, Sheikh Hammoudi highlighted Iraq’s determination to proceed with its governmental project for establishing full sovereignty as outlined in the Iraqi Constitution. This initiative is seen as a response to national demands, with Iraqis preparing to mark a day of national consensus on this matter. He emphasized that the project aims to address violations of Iraqi sovereignty and ensure the country’s interests are protected.

The US Charg© d’Affaires, Steven Fagin, acknowledged that the full implementation of this sovereignty project requires time to complete its various stages.
