Amman: Head of the Supreme Islamic Council Sheikh Humam Hammoudi on Sunday emphasized the urgent need for collective cooperation to tackle the pressing issues of environmental pollution, desertification, and drought.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Supreme Islamic Council detailed a meeting between Sheikh Hammoudi and Minister of Environment and Acting Minister of Culture Sarwa Abdul Wahid. The discussions focused on the latest political developments and the ministry’s strategic plans to address the escalating environmental challenges facing the nation.

Sheikh Hammoudi highlighted the significant responsibilities shouldered by the Ministry of Environment, stressing that collaboration from all sectors is crucial to effectively address the issues of environmental pollution, desertification, and drought.
