Sheikh Hamoudi Meets Russian Ambassador: Iraq’s Security is a Matter of International Consensus


Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Islamic Supreme Council, has declared that Iraq’s security is a matter of international consensus. In a recent meeting with Elibros Kotrashev, the Russian Ambassador to Baghdad, discussions focused on bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation, and the countries’ positions on regional matters.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of supporting opportunities for stability in the region. Sheikh Hamoudi emphasized that international concern and consensus regarding Iraq’s security and stability have been strengthened by national harmony and a balanced foreign policy. This approach has bolstered confidence in Iraq and attracted opportunities.



Sheikh Hamoudi also highlighted concerns over the situation in Syria and the Zionist military escalation, urging a concerted international effort. He called on Russia to increase its involvement and expand its investments in Iraq, suggesting that such actions would contribute positively to regional stability.
