Baghdad: During a meeting with the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi underscored the critical role of media professionals as true ambassadors and essential partners in confronting challenges facing Iraq today.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, who leads the "Abshir Ya Iraq" Alliance, met with Muayyad al-Lami, head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and President of the General Federation of Arab Journalists. Al-Lami congratulated Sheikh Hamoudi on the successful elections and broad participation, and both discussed the current state of Iraq's media landscape, the importance of freedom of expression, and the demands of the present phase.
During the discussion, Sheikh Hamoudi praised the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate's role in maintaining professional integrity and steering media discourse to support national interests. He highlighted the significance of journalists as ambassadors who craft a realistic image of the country and acknowledged al-Lami's efforts in rectifying misconceptions about Iraq abroad.
Sheikh Hamoudi expressed his commitment to supporting the Journalists Syndicate and enhancing its work by overcoming obstacles. He emphasized that journalists are vital partners in achieving victories, overcoming challenges, supporting development initiatives, and scrutinizing and correcting the erroneous paths of state institutions.
