Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, asserted that diplomacy is the sole method to manage the current regional escalation, emphasizing Iraq's stance of not becoming an axis for any party.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Sheikh Humoudi's office revealed that he met with the Russian Ambassador to Baghdad, Albrus Kutrashev. The discussion focused on regional developments, potential repercussions of ongoing events, the trajectory of Iraq's political process, strategies for confronting challenges, and possibilities for bolstering bilateral relations.
