Beirut: The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, engaged in discussions with Sheikh Ali al-Khatib, the Vice President of the Islamic Shiite Council in Lebanon, concerning the dire humanitarian conditions faced by Lebanese citizens amid ongoing Zionist attacks targeting defenseless civilians.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Sheikh Qais al-Khazali’s office detailed that the meeting with Sheikh Ali al-Khatib and his delegation addressed the severe shortages in medicines, medical supplies, and treatment facilities, as well as the harsh living conditions exacerbated by the attacks. Both leaders emphasized the importance of ongoing support for the Lebanese populace during these challenging times.

Sheikh Ali al-Khatib expressed gratitude for Sheikh al-Khazali’s supportive stance toward the Lebanese people, highlighting the continuous aid, including ambulances and food rations, being sent to Lebanon. He noted that these actions reflect a deep sense of brotherhood and solidarity within the nation.

Furthermore, al-Khatib commended the Iraqi government’s assistance to Lebanon, underscoring the necessity of maintaining this support given the current adversities. Sheikh al-Khazali reiterated the need to support the Lebanese people, praising the resilience, patience, and steadfastness of southern Lebanon’s communities, and stressing the importance of unity and solidarity in overcoming challenges.
