Shipment of Unauthorized Medicines Seized at Baghdad Airport


Baghdad: The General Customs Authority at Baghdad International Airport has seized a shipment of human medicines and drug packaging that violated import regulations. The authority stated in a press release that customs officers at the passenger terminal intercepted bags containing human medicines and drug packaging brought in without the required official approvals, in clear violation of laws and regulations.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a violation report was filed, and the necessary customs procedures were taken against the shipment in accordance with Customs Law No. 23 of 1984, as amended. The authority emphasized the continued monitoring to prevent the entry of prohibited or unauthorized materials.
