Shoigu: Moscow Ready to Cooperate with Baghdad in All Areas of Military-Technical Cooperation

Baghdad: Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu announced the Russian Federation's readiness to cooperate with Iraq in all areas of military-technical cooperation. Shoigu's statements came yesterday evening, Tuesday, during a press conference during his meeting with Iraqi Defense Minister Thabet Al-Abbasi.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Shoigu expressed Russia's willingness to engage comprehensively, including the supply of modern weapons and military equipment. He highlighted Russia's readiness to provide Iraq with the latest models of Russian-made weapons and military equipment, which have proven their tactical and technical effectiveness in real combat conditions during the Russian military operation.

Sergei Shoigu emphasized that Russia offers foreign partners broader defense solutions in terms of air and missile defense technologies, including air and naval equipment, distinguishing itself from other major players. Shoigu arrived in Baghdad yesterday, Tuesday, on a working visit, where he also met with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to review relations between the two countries.
