SMC Refutes Claims of ISIS Transfers from Syria

Baghdad: The Security Media Cell has officially refuted a statement attributed to the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations concerning the alleged transfer of ISIS terrorists from Syria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, on Saturday, the Security Media Cell responded to reports circulating on social media, which claimed that the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations had announced the establishment of a new mechanism for relocating ISIS terrorists from neighboring Syria.

The Cell unequivocally denied the authenticity of these reports, asserting that the Deputy Commander has not issued any statement to media outlets or news platforms concerning the current situation in Syria.

Legal authorities within the Joint Operations Command are set to pursue action against those disseminating what the Cell describes as malicious rumors. The Security Media Cell emphasized the importance of accuracy in information dissemination and urged reliance on official sources for news and updates.
