Baghdad: A security force has successfully dismantled a network specializing in smuggling alcoholic beverages from the Kurdistan Region to Baghdad, arresting two of its members.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation followed meticulous field surveillance, enabling the security force to identify a route used by the smugglers. This route stretched through several farms located between Diyala and Baghdad.
The security force's operation culminated in the arrest of two network members and the seizure of a large shipment of smuggled alcoholic beverages. The arrested individuals have been transferred to a detention center where they will face further investigation and legal proceedings.
