SOMO Announces Oil Exports to Jordan Over 6 Months


Baghdad: The Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) announced the results of oil exports to Jordan over the past six months. It said in a statement that Iraqi oil exports to Jordan during the months of January to June amounted to 1,866,194 barrels, a decrease of 14.84% compared to the same period last year.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iraq and Jordan agreed in August 2023 to increase imports from 10,000 barrels to 15,000 barrels per day, increasing the quantity from 300,000 barrels to 450,000 barrels per month, covering approximately 10% of Jordan’s crude oil needs.
