South Gas Company Initiates Student Training Program to Bridge Academia and Field Application

Basra: The Production Department at the South Gas Company has embarked on a significant training program aimed at university students, connecting their academic studies with practical field experience. This initiative targets students from the Southern Technical Colleges, Al-Maqal University, and the College of Engineering's Oil and Gas Department.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company's media office detailed that the training program commenced with an in-depth overview of the South Gas Company's history and its strategic role in the energy sector. The session included a technical presentation that highlighted production capacities and operational units. This presentation was led by Ghanem Qasim Khalaf Al-Abadi, Director of the Reports and Production Quantity Verification Department, ensuring a scientific and practical approach.

The company's statement emphasized that this program supports the senior management's vision to enhance collaboration with academic institutions. The initiative aims to equip the oil and gas sector with well-qualified engineers who possess both the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them to meet the demands of future field operations.
