Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Haibat al-Halbousi, appointed MP Uday Awad Kadhim as head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee. The decision was communicated through an administrative order from the Parliamentary Affairs Department of the Council of Representatives.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the appointment of MP Uday Awad Kadhim will be effective until a new head is elected. This process will follow the guidelines outlined in Article (74) of the House of Representatives' Internal Regulations No. (1) of 2022. The move comes as part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the efficient functioning of the Parliamentary Finance Committee.
