Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Haibat al-Halbousi, met today, Sunday, with a delegation of MPs from the Badr Bloc to discuss several matters related to the work of Parliament. A statement by the Speaker’s office indicated that the MPs congratulated al-Halbousi on his election as Speaker of Parliament for its sixth session, wishing him success in his duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed several topics related to the work of Parliament, emphasizing the importance of coordinating the efforts of parliamentary blocs to enact important legislation and to activate the oversight and legislative role of Parliament in the coming period.
