Baghdad: The elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, received the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, for a meeting focused on enhancing communication and coordination mechanisms between the Presidency of the Republic and the Presidency of the House of Representatives. The discussions aimed at presenting laws and legislation that serve the interests of citizens, particularly in the realms of security, politics, and economics.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Rashid commenced the meeting by congratulating Al-Mashhadani on his election as Speaker of the Council of Representatives, expressing his wishes for success in his official duties. Rashid highlighted the importance of strengthening communication and coordination between the two presidencies to advance legislation that benefits the nation’s security, political stability, and economic growth.
Al-Mashhadani, in response, expressed gratitude for the President’s congratulations and reiterated
the commitment of the House of Representatives to fulfill its responsibilities in a manner that aligns with the overarching interests of Iraq and its citizens.
