Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi discussed bilateral relations and the enhancement of joint cooperation with the Australian Ambassador to Iraq, Glenn Miles.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Speaker’s office noted: “Al-Halbousi received the Spanish Ambassador today, Thursday; the meeting addressed bilateral relations and the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries across all fields.” The discussions were centered around fostering stronger ties between Iraq and Australia, aiming to enhance cooperation in various sectors.

The two sides also engaged in conversations regarding regional and international developments. This included an exchange of views on a number of issues that are of mutual interest to both Iraq and Australia, reflecting a shared commitment to addressing common challenges in the region.
