Speaker of the Turkish Parliament: The war on Gaza has turned into a global crisis

Istanbul, Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Numan Kurtulmus, said that the war on Gaza has become a character that goes beyond the boundaries of a regional conflict and has turned into a global crisis that concerns all of humanity.

Kurtulmus stressed in his speech today before the tenth meeting of heads of parliaments at the informal intercontinental consultation and coordination platform ‘MIKTA’ in the capital of Mexico, Mexico City, that humanity will never forget Israel’s brutality in slowly killing children in incubators in front of the eyes of the world.

He stressed that the world should benefit from these wars and the humanitarian crimes that continue to occur.

He pointed out that the brutal attacks and heinous crimes committed by Israel in Gaza for more than seven months led to the death of 35,000 people, most of whom were children.

Kurtulmus praised South Africa’s efforts to seek justice before the International Court, and said: “The international system ignored the defect that befell humanity in
Gaza.”

He added: People in many parts of the world took to the streets, and university students and intellectuals did not remain silent in the face of this genocide.

It is noteworthy that MIKTA is a group of countries that includes Turkey, Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, and Australia, and was established in 2013 in a partnership between member states of the G20 with the aim of bridging the gaps between developed and developing countries.
