Baghdad: The US Embassy in Baghdad announced the return of Ambassador Steven H. Fagin to his role as Charg© d’Affaires at the US Mission to Iraq.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy expressed its welcome in an official statement, highlighting Ambassador Fagin’s previous service as the US Ambassador to Yemen, and his earlier roles as Charg© d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission in Baghdad, as well as Consul General in Erbil.

The statement from the Embassy emphasized Ambassador Fagin’s extensive regional experience, noting that it will aid in fortifying the relationship between the United States and Iraq. The Embassy conveyed optimism that his leadership will advance the bilateral relations towards a future beneficial for both American and Iraqi citizens.
