Diwaniyah: Dozens of resident doctors staged a strike at Diwaniyah Hospital and other health institutions to protest the failure to increase their salaries from 400,000 to 600,000 dinars and to convert them from contract to permanent staff.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Diwaniyah Doctors Syndicate, Nidaa al-Waeli, stated that “the doctors’ strike in the province’s hospitals is negatively impacting patients and visitors,” urging “the central government and the Ministry of Health to intervene and respond to the resident doctors’ demands.”
