Strong Earthquake Strikes Central Peru; No Damage Reported


Baghdad: A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck central Peru on Thursday. Despite the significant strength of the quake, authorities have not reported any injuries or damage in the affected areas.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) detailed that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 99 kilometers. The epicenter was pinpointed 31 kilometers northwest of Aniso, a location nestled in the Andes Mountains. The event has prompted local authorities to remain vigilant, although no immediate hazards have been identified.
