Sub-Committee Formed to Allocate 100,000 Residential Plots in Basra

Basra: As part of the Prime Minister's initiative, a sub-committee has been established to allocate 100,000 residential plots in Basra. Sheikh Hammam Hammoudi, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council, emphasized the importance of combating corruption during a meeting with the delegation of the Badr parliamentary bloc, led by MP Humam Al-Tamimi.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hammoudi urged all national authorities and forces to take responsibility in the fight against corruption, viewing it as an opportunity to recommend and purify the constitutional democratic system. He called upon the sacrificial forces, who have shed blood for this democratic system, to voice their opposition to corruption in order to safeguard their achievements.

Sheikh Hammoudi highlighted the necessity of continuing the anti-corruption campaign with a comprehensive and integrated constitutional approach that does not favor any individual, regardless of their position. He also underscored the importance of MPs' efforts to connect with the people, reiterating that the foundation of the parliamentary system is the rule of the people and the determination of their country's future by themselves.
