Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani engaged in a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, discussing regional developments and the importance of joint efforts to halt ongoing conflicts and seek peaceful resolutions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conversation highlighted the necessity of avoiding military solutions that could jeopardize regional and international peace. Al-Sudani reiterated Iraq's dedication to contributing every possible effort to end the conflict, which adversely affects the security of the region's populations. He emphasized Iraq's stance against being used as a base for launching attacks on other nations, while also denouncing any assaults on Iraqi territory.

The Saudi Crown Prince acknowledged Iraq's substantial endeavors with regional nations to manage the war's impact and prevent its escalation, underscoring the significance of safeguarding regional and global security and stability.
