Baghdad: The Sudanese Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, extended his congratulations to Mojtaba Khamenei on his election as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In his message, al-Sudani expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, along with other martyrs from Iran, and conveyed his confidence in the new leadership's ability to navigate the current challenges and strengthen the unity of the Iranian people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani emphasized Iraq's continued solidarity and support for Iran. He also backed initiatives aimed at resolving conflicts and rejecting military actions against Iran's sovereignty to ensure regional stability and the safety of neighboring populations.
