Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani affirmed that “Iraq’s strength lies in its diversity,” expressing his appreciation and pride in all members of Iraq’s various religious communities who have contributed to serving their country. A statement by the Prime Minister’s office indicated that al-Sudani received, on Saturday, the head of the Office of Christian, Yazidi, and Mandaean Endowments, Rami Joseph Aghajan, and several members of the office’s council.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed issues related to the office’s work, the challenges it faces, and ways to address them and improve performance. Al-Sudani affirmed the government’s full support for the Office of Christian Endowments and other religious communities, and its commitment to providing the necessary financial and legal support to ensure its continued operation and protect the rights of these communities.
He pointed out that “Iraq’s strength lies in its diversity,” expressing his appreciation and pride in all Iraqis from all sects who have contributed to serving their country, and whose contributions continue for the advancement and stability of Iraq.
