Karbala: A delegation of scholars from the Sunni Endowment Office praised the services provided by the holy shrines in Karbala to visiting pilgrims, emphasizing the importance of fostering brotherhood and unity among the Iraqi people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the remarks came during the delegation’s visit to Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, where they met with Deputy Secretary-General Abbas Musa Ahmed and Head of Public Relations, Mohammad Ali Azhar.

Sheikh Mohammad Jawad Al-Salami, Assistant Head of the Public Relations Department at the shrine, stated: ‘The delegation, which included scholars from Baghdad and several other provinces, visited the shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in an atmosphere filled with love and harmony, reflecting the deep Islamic ties among different sects.’

Al-Salami added that the delegation expressed a strong commitment to preserving both Islamic and national unity, rejecting all forms of division and sectarianism, and stressed the importance of thwarting any suspicious attempts aimed at undermining the cohesion of Iraqi society.
