Baghdad: The Supreme Committee overseeing the al-Hawl camp held a meeting chaired by National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji. The committee convened under the directive of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, with attendance from the Minister of Migration, the head of the Intelligence Service, the head of the National Security Service, the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, and various officials from relevant ministries and departments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on the transportation of Iraqi families from northeastern Syria and evaluated the operations at Al-Amal Center for Psychological and Community Rehabilitation. Discussion points included rehabilitation processes, challenges of social integration, security screening, and strategies for family follow-up and aftercare.

Furthermore, the committee examined the status of detainees and the data received from the Syrian side, particularly concerning the Iraqi judiciary. The discussion also covered the detainees’ personal documentation, with necessary recommendations being formulated.

The committee proposed evaluating the integration process and the repatriation of families to their original areas. They emphasized the need to assess the conditions of these families post-settlement to identify both successes and any potential shortcomings.
