Baghdad: The Supreme Judicial Council has engaged in discussions regarding the creation of a guide to clarify the nature of digital evidence in cyber extortion crimes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Judicial Media Office released a statement confirming that the Supreme Judicial Council convened a meeting focused on digital evidence in cyber extortion cases. The meeting included Judge Nasser Omran, serving as the Judicial Supervisor, alongside representatives from the National Security Service, the National Cybersecurity Center, and the Media and Communications Commission.

The statement highlighted that the meeting centered on developing a comprehensive guide to elucidate digital evidence related to cyber extortion crimes. This guide aims to detail operational mechanisms of artificial intelligence algorithms capable of forgery and outline principles for handling such technologies, ultimately aimed at improving judicial performance and enhancing institutional operations.
