Maysan: The Maysan Governorate Police Command announced today that its anti-crime units, in coordination with the Falcons Intelligence Cell, arrested a dangerous suspect involved in a series of robberies in the governorate’s center and districts.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated: “The suspect was apprehended after receiving several reports of robberies. This prompted the formation of a specialized team that conducted intensive technical and field operations. The team was able to gather, analyze, and cross-reference information, ultimately identifying the suspect and his location. He was arrested, and a Kalashnikov rifle was seized from him.”
The Command indicated that the suspect confessed to carrying out more than 12 robberies with a total value exceeding 750 million Iraqi dinars, in addition to carrying out tribal raids targeting the homes of several citizens.
Maysan police confirmed that the suspect’s statements were initially and judicially verified, and that legal measures were taken against him in accordance with Article 443 of the Penal Code.
