Maysan: A suspect has been apprehended by the Maysan Police Command for allegedly setting a house on fire and attacking citizens' homes in Amara in exchange for financial compensation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Maysan Police Command revealed that the suspect was captured following a precise security operation conducted by the Al-Karama Police Department. The operation involved extensive field investigations and intelligence monitoring, leading to the successful identification and raid of the suspect's location.
The police statement indicated that the suspect is wanted under Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law for shooting at residential homes and is also accused of violating Article 342 related to arson crimes. The individual is now in custody as legal proceedings are underway.
