Suspect Arrested for Hand Grenade Attack on Residential Building in Baghdad

Baghdad: A suspect has been arrested by Baghdad's Karkh Police for allegedly targeting a residential building in the Al-Hurriya II neighborhood with a hand grenade. The incident, which raised concerns among local residents, prompted an immediate response from law enforcement authorities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the police arrived at the scene shortly after the attack and reviewed surveillance camera footage to identify the suspect. Through diligent investigative efforts, information regarding the suspect's whereabouts was obtained, leading to the arrest of one of the individuals wanted in connection with the crime.

During the interrogation process, the suspect confessed to the attack, and legal procedures have been initiated against him. He has been formally detained as the investigation continues.
