Baghdad: A suspect has been arrested by the Intelligence units of the Ministry of Interior for smuggling medications into Iraq. The arrest was made after the suspect was lured into a trap, and the location of the smuggled medications was identified. This action followed a process of investigation, information gathering, verification, and obtaining the necessary judicial approvals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, various medications of unknown origin were seized from the suspect. These medications have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further action. The suspect, upon questioning, confessed to smuggling the medications in violation of the Ministry of Health’s regulations and instructions. He intended to sell these medications to citizens through social media platforms. The suspect has been referred to the competent courts for prosecution.
