Baquba: A suspect was arrested in Baquba in possession of quantities of smuggled medicine. A joint security force from Diyala Police and National Security detachments arrested a suspect in Baquba, the provincial capital, for smuggling quantities of contraband medicines.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the smuggled medicines were found inside the suspect’s vehicle. Legal procedures were initiated against him under Article (76), and he was referred to the relevant authorities to complete the legal proceedings. The source added that security forces are continuing to pursue drug smugglers and traffickers, taking decisive action against them and referring them to the judiciary to protect public health and community safety.
