Jalawla: A suspect wanted for murder was arrested in Jalawla, Diyala. The Diyala Police Command announced the arrest of a suspect wanted by the judiciary under Article (406) of the Iraqi Penal Code, which pertains to the crime of murder, in the Jalawla district, northeast of Baquba, the provincial capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a press release that detachments from the Khanaqin Anti-Crime Department/Jalawla Anti-Crime Division, under the supervision and direction of the Diyala Police Chief, Major General Muhammad Kadhim Atiya, apprehended the suspect within their area of responsibility after conducting thorough surveillance and investigation operations.

The statement added that the detachments have taken the necessary legal measures against the suspect, in preparation for referring him to the competent judicial authorities, in accordance with legal procedures and protocols.
